Raised on the green and rocky coast of Brittany, France, Hélène Renaut now claims another coast, that of San Francisco, home. As the leader of the group Beam, she recorded a self-titled album, released on Antenna Farm Records in 2003. She has also collaborated to quite a few varied projects: violin and string arrangement for folk-pop duo Willow Willow (Mod Lang Records) and Papercuts (Gnomonsong), piano, violin and vocals on Donovan Quinn's latest opus (Soft Abuse), vocal appearance on soul indie funk act Honeycut's 'The day I Turned to Glass' (Quannum), original music for theater productions of 'The False Servant' (Marivaux) and 'The Green Bird' (Carlo Gozzi), and others.
